Lecture «Minds & Machines: Data Concepts for AI’s Generative Era»

Section: Automation.

Subject: Minds & Machines: Data Concepts for AI’s Generative Era.

Speaker: Filip Rais, Director of Technical Architecture.

Technology leader and Enterprise Architect driving AI/GenAI and Data Analytics innovation. As an AI expert and thought leader, I combine deep technical expertise with practical implementation experience. Regular speaker and author sharing insights on enterprise AI adoption and architecture.

With three years of dedicated focus on the AI domain, my role focuses on guiding the implementation of generative AI and traditional ML solutions while ensuring pragmatic, user-centric approaches.

Abstract. This lecture will unpack the essential concepts driving LLM data augmentation strategies, with a focus on practical architectural implications and application design. We’ll deep dive into the architectural patterns. From the straightforward patterns of manual methods to the advanced intricacies of search augmentation and retrieval (aka. RAG) techniques. On top of that, we’ll explore an emerging code & query processing retrieval for structured data that shows significant potential for scaling large datasets. Join us for an in -depth look into the architectural backbone and innovations propelling the future of generative AI data strategies.

Student Learning Outcomes. Students will gain an understanding of the key concepts behind LLM data augmentation and will learn how to connect the concepts with practical architectural patterns. Students will also get an overview of core LLM data augmentation strategies and the architecture behind them. Finally, the lecture aims to give students a mental model for navigating the rapidly evolving space of Gen. AI and Data so that they are not limited by “static” patterns, but prepared to recognize what comes next.
